College Update: Jenn French at Lehigh University

By Yili Wu, Editor-in-Chief

What do you miss most about GL?
The soccer team!! I loved playing for GL the past four years and I love seeing how they’re doing on twitter and instagram. But I definitely miss the team and playing for GL more than anything else.
How is Lehigh different from GL?
The biggest difference between most of my classes here are big lectures which is obviously different from high school so I don’t really know any of my professors. In addition to the classroom atmosphere being different, it is obviously different to be living in a dorm away from home. College students have a lot more freedom but a lot more responsibilities at the same time.
What is your favorite and least favorite thing about Lehigh?
My least favorite thing is doing my own laundry. But it’s hard to say my favorite thing about Lehigh. I really like being close to home because it’s so convenient. I haven’t been home yet, but if I ever need anything it’s really easy for my parents to come bring me it and they have been out for football games and lunch and stuff.
What is your favorite class so far and why?
Psychology. My professor is really funny and I think the material is really interesting.
What kind of student is a good fit for Lehigh?
It’s hard to say. There are so many different kinds of people here. I think anyone that is willing to work hard but also likes to have fun would enjoy it here.
What is the best way to deal with the transition from high school to college?
I don’t really think you can do anything to prepare yourself other than mentally. But I would say just let it happen- you’ll adjust and love it.
What is your advice to someone who wants to go to Lehigh?
COME!! You won’t regret it!
